Version 2 [Trouble] Chapter 1 - Why did he jump?!

Sitting under a cherry blossom tree was a family of tree, consist of a beautiful lady currently smiling as she took out a box of ready-made sandwiches for a valiant looking man. A child ran to the man as he called to him, “Father! Father! Why is it that we always staying in this town? Can we not leave it?” The child asked as he hugs his father, looking up to him with his big innocent eyes.

Winds flutters as the lady chuckled and pats the child gently, “Riz, it is not that we cannot leave this town, you are just too young to face the dangers of the outside world.” She smiled and kissed the child forehead when he turned to look at her.

Riz blinked his eyes and tackle the lady as he then hugs her, “Is that so? Then mama, what are we?” Riz asked, the lady, his mother smiled as she opened the box, thus Riz attention moved to the sandwiches instead as his stomach rumbled, so he ate with delish.

His father looked at Riz with a slight frown, however his eyes are full of love as he hand some of his portion to Riz. The question asked by their child, was simply left unanswered as the harmonious atmosphere of the three of them were maintained.

‘I hope, you will never know.’ The man mumbled.

The moon tonight is bright, as the light from the moon came through the window of a room. From the mountains that the room veranda was facing, loud howling were heard continuously. Never before such a dreadful howl was heard, and the whole town shut their door and locked all entrances no matter whether it is small or big out of fear of an unknown.

In the mansion, a pair of eyes glitters in the dark as sound of ragged breath is heard, and it looked up to the ceiling as if it can vividly see the full moon outside.

Meanwhile in the room where the said veranda is, a child was awoken abruptly and gasped, the child looked startled as he felt his whole body wet with cold sweats. He went off his bed and walked to the veranda, though not opening the window he can still hearing those non-stop howling, inside of him an uncomfortable feeling kept welling up that causes him to clench his hands.

His body trembled when he saw the full moon outside, he felt strong urges to run, to jump and to scream as much as he can. Panting slowly, he blanked out and fall to the floor with a thud.

“Riz…! Riz..! Wake up..!” A soft familiar voice is heard faintly, calling for him. The warmth and worry in that voice is very clear to him, oh how he wish to open his eyes but he felt that his body is weak and unable to move. “Fuz! What should we do? He does not look okay…”

“Let’s take him to the hospital, doctor Marqou should be able to help him…” Another familiar voice is heard, one sounded rather stern but similar to the earlier voice, it sounded as worried as the person before that.

He then felt that his body was lifted by two strong arm, being carried to somewhere.

Arriving at the hospital, an old man in a white lab coat was seen waiting at the door, seeing the three of them, he brought them inside, riding the elevator to level 10 where his office is, he then lead them with a nurse then took over the child being carried and administer emergency checkup.

“Fuz, Lyla, what happened?” The old man, known as doctor Marqou asked as he watches over the nurse and stared at the man and the lady.

“We don’t know, but Lyla found him uncouncious by the veranda window this morning. We thought that it was nothing and put him back on bed, but after a few hours we found out that he was till in that same state.” Fuz explained with a worried frown shown on his face, his forehead wrinkled badly.

Lyla held into Fuz hand firmly, her eyes is wet as she glanced at Riz a lot.

“Doctor Marquo, I’ve finish checking him and from what I can see, there is nothing wrong with this child.” The nurse reported politely to the doctor as she kept back all equipment that she has used to check Riz.

“Alright, temporarily let him rest on that bed for now. You can return to your previous duty Ailee.” The doctor said with a nod, and this the nurse bowed slightly and exit the office as soon as she done tidying up.

“Lets talk. What did you two previously do before today? You know Rizzer have a weak body constitution, so today incident might relate to your previous activity.” The doctor pulled two extra chair for both Fuz and Lyla.

“We were only having a picnic outside during lunchtime yesterday… We had always spend our time like this before too and there were nothing happening previously too.” Lyla said and looked down, as a mother she hoped that her son would be able to play outside like other children too.

“Yes, he was only running around the tree with some of his cats… We also ate the sandwiches made following the diet given by you…” Fuz added with more frown.

“Is that so? Hmn, could it be that something out or ord-“ The doctor paused when he heard the sound of something fall behind him. He quickly turned around to see, Lyla who had noticed earlier due to an unsettled feeling that she felt, saw Riz was standing by the opened window.

“Riz!” Lyla gasped as Fuz and doctor Marquo rushed toward Riz. “No! Riz!!” But it was too late, all they can see that Riz waved his hand as he fall out of the window, his pyjama fluttered as he fall from level 10.

Lyla screamed as she run to the window with tears falling like waterfall as all she can see is how Riz small body hit the ground with all the blood spilling around like a smashed fruit. Fuz and the doctor called for the security and the other available hospital staff, they would have never expected that Riz would jump off the window like that.

My body felt so heavy, I cannot move any part of my body, all I can do is stay still. My senses told me that I was being laid on something, and there seems to be someone laying next to me. I can sense that that person is watching me very closely, however it does not seem to contain any hostility toward me.

“You have finally returned. That was quite long, Valence.” A deep voice is heard not far from where I am, and a small hand touches my forehead slowly, brushing away my messed bang. “It never changed, your way of returning here.” That voice continued with a bit sigh sounded soon after.

A pair of wings fluttering as a tapping sound can be heard next, making me wonder, ‘is someone flying?’, though a small childlike voice then said, “Ah, he is sleeping as always.” Which then I felt that my cheek was being poked by a small finger. I assumed that there is three different person is currently near me.

However, who is Valence?

“Anyway, because he had returned, we need to wake him up, right?”

“Yeah, but he does not seem like he want to wake up at all. I’ve been trying to wake him up for almost an hour.”

“is that so? I guess its okay we let him sleep more for now. I hope he stay here obediently though. Its already enough trouble as it is now when he left… Ugh.” The person grumble unhappily.

“Yeah. That’s quite true..”

As they were talking, the weight on the bed decreases as the sound of a person left the bed can he heard, “Lets go.” Said the person, and all three seem to exit the place one after another, and the place become very quiet.

“…”

“Now, We, Can, Go” Said a sudden voice. 

All I feel then was a burning sensation throughout my whole body, causing my stiff body to automatically react to such sensation, “What.. is this pain? It’s hurt…! So hot! H-Help… me..!” I gasped and pant in pain.

“Aha… ha.. Scream, scream more~” That voice laughed maliciously, a cold aura can be felt just next to me, it felt really evil and dark, one that can instill fear into people’s heart with just a small contact of such aura.

“Don..’t… w…wor…ry… I’ll sa… ve… you..!” A static noise flooded into my head, it sounded like a girl voice however was quite broken and not clear, so I was only able to hear bits of them without fully understanding it. “I’m… co…ming…! W… ait… fo… r… me…!” another sentences seems to be said, however it was already faint and soon no longer is heard. When it was gone, the painful and burning sensation that I felt earlier reached its peak and I jolted before my conscience drift away.

The sky was dark and the moon looked really big outside, the area was illuminated by the moonlight showing a young man was laying on a big bed, beside the young man is a black cloaked man standing and staring down on the young man.

“Oh, you have woken up.” The man said when the young man opened his eyes, only to see a masked man with a bulky body build. He stared at the man with questioning gaze, and the man opened his mouth and ask, “Do you remember who you are?” 

“Where is… my father? And mother?” The young man sat up and glanced around, all he can see is just an empty room, but there were no ceiling so he can see the outside, where there were people with big wings flying, passing by from time to time.

“Gone. Probably you’d never met them again.” The man replied.

“What why?” 

“You died. That’s why.” The man said and laughed slowly, he can see the young man is looking sad now, but he didn’t offer any consolation as he instead added with a wide grin, “Everyone who knows you over there consider you to be dead.”

“Y-You are lying! It cant be true!” The young man pointed his finger to the man in anger.

“You don’t believe me? Why don’t you see by yourself then.” The man waved his hand and the dark space open up, and the young man can see a couple crying by a tombstone, mourning for the one buried there.

“No… Its real?” The young man watched with a stunned expression.

“Its because of your beast bloodline. You are too weak when it was triggered, so you went out of control, making you unconsciously jump to your death.” The man explained with a smile, “So your body go splat when you literally jump from that level 10 office. Haha.” He added with amused face.

“I-I don’t believe! Lier! Definitely a lier! T-this must be an illusion! AAHHH!!!” The young man bend down while holding his head, he look very confused, his head ached, his feelings is in turmoil, he is in chaos.

“Ha-.. AHAHAHAHAHAAHAH~” The masked man laughed, seeing the young man in a mess.

“Ah? What is that? Laughter?” Shinai stopped walking and turned around, her eyes widen as she glanced at Juniel next to him. “We better go check!” She said and with tacit agreement they ran back to the room.

Juniel kicked the door harshly, opening it with such force, “What? Gone?” He froze. Shinai enter the room, the bed sheet are in tatters, the bed mattress are full with claw marks, causing them to be unusable. The bed frame have traces of the same marks as the bed mattress, however it only left scratches marks.

“He escaped?! Ah Stupid Valence!” 

“Oh god… Why is he always like this… One can never take their eyes off him even for a second. Aigoya…” Juniel sighed as he facepalmed. He enter the room and looked around to find a trace that are oftenly left by Valence. 

Shinai picked a small coin on the floor, it was found below the tattered bed sheet. “As usual, same thing, same person, haish!” Shinai complained as she turn to Juniel, “Juniel, lets go!”

“Alright.” Juniel nods and  the two of them looked up to the open ceiling. Shinai hold into Juniel hand as a pair of white wings appear behind the two of them, simultaneously a black hole open up in the open ceiling, symbols of ancient language appeared around the black hole, and two symbol halted its motion. With that the two of them enter the black hole without any hesitation.

[Trouble] Chapter 11

Since then, Riz, Angela and Damian has been staying in that building. School soon started in January, and Amy brought Riz to a middle school inside the area, while she registered Angela and Damian into a kindergarten located just next to the middle school that Riz are now attending. Riz at first just attended the school as usual, though a bit sulky due to being forced to be willingly stay here, after a month he heard from his new friends that the school he is attending is a private school which are directly under a famous university. It were the same with the kindergarten that Angela and Damian attending.

With his friends guide, Riz walked around the place and the weekends, from building to buildings, and found out that the area is too big for him to finish exploring in the week. In the end, he went to the management building that he coincidentally stumble across during his walk, and by asking the staff at the counter then he understand why this place is composed of such a large area.

At night, Riz recalled what the management staff told him, which make him wonder exactly how rich is this Amy’s family and how can they support such a huge area.

The staff explained that the whole area is a private property owned by Amy, whereas Amy inherited this whole property from her deceased father. It was a fact that inside this property, the university, the high school, middle school and also kindergarten are all located in here, so all the students that was accepted into the school, universities or kindergarten will stay in a dormitory provided by Amy.

All the students studying here are allowed to have an outing on each weekends, which usually they used to go back to their parent home whenever they missed them. Though younger children that aged below 12 will each be assigned a protector to accompany them for their safety. The reason why they all are being protected is because each of this children is all of a brilliant brain, meaning they are a prodigies or a genius.

Despite being allowed to have an outing on every weekends, not many of the students studying there liked to come outside. The main reason is because inside this property, there are a lot of new buildings that was built for the entertainments of these students. So they mostly have fun with their friends there, after all it was safer too.

Since the property is too big, the management staff gave him a map which will help him a lot when he need to go around the place. On the map, Riz can see there were a few places called as district to make it easier for the students to remember, such as the university district, school district, central district, residential district, and entertainment district.

University are located on the west side, school district which consist of high school and middle school are on the north side, entertainment district is on the east side, the residential district which are where the dorms are and the teacher quarters are is located just next to west of the school district, lastly the central district is in the middle of all of those district, where the management building, kindergarten and also Amy personal building is located at. 

The big entrance gate is located on the south side, where the empty area between the gate and the other district is where a big garden are. The garden area actually are not that big before this, but because Amy liked flowers, so she ordered the management to add more.

Since this property is on top of a big hill, the whole surrounding outside of the gate wall are all thick forest, except on the south side which was cleared to make the travel to the big town for outing easier for the students.

With that, conclude the area inside of the property.

From then on, Riz take his time in exploring all the districts on the map while he earnestly learn at the school properly now because he can see that Angela and Damian has become accustomed to the kindergarten there and it seem like they don’t mind living there.

Riz want to make sure that Angela and Damian have a good education and the environment there are good, plus the teachers are patient despite all the trouble that Angela tend to make. For them, Riz stopped resisting and living there fully.

He is also getting used to Amy stalker behaviour, where she soon stopped when Riz spend some time with her in her office. She usually make him accompany her eating some snack there, or watching some movies, or also sometime asked Riz to help her arrange some of the documents into some file.

He really wonder what exactly that make her like him so much, he thought that but then again as long as she does not harm him or became weirder than this, it is fine for him.

It is now almost six month since he is living there, where there is a midterm exam as usual. Something was a bit different when children age 11 was asked to take an aptitude test, where they need to put their hand on a white globe, and different colour will show up for different people.

“What us that test for?” Riz asked one of his classmate when they finish that aptitude test. His previous school does not have that from what he heard from his seniors before.

“Ah, it’s a test to see what magic element you were born with.” His classmate told him and added, “Next year we will be learning about magic and also potion making.”

“Magic? Magic exist in this world?” Riz blinked twice, “I thought that it was just a wild fantasy of something… So it was real?”

“Mhm, other people will not be able to know about magic, since it’s a big secret” His friend said with a smile, “Only us students will know and we can’t use it openly either.”

“Ah why?” 

“Hmn, we don’t really know the exact reason… But mostly to avoid being called as monster by other public people… and also to prevent our students from bullying or accidentally killing public people.” As he said that, everyone nods with a face saying ‘that is reasonable’ since a person able to use magic are much stronger than an ordinary person.

“Anyway, what element you were?” They then started to discuss about this in a hustle and they wondered if it is hard to use magic.

As they were discussing, they asked Riz, Riz shook his head because he don’t know what element his magic were. The crystal become transparent when it was his turn instead of showing any colour.

“Ah, from this book, red is fire, blue is water, green is wind, yellow is wood, brown is earth, white is light, black is darkness” A nerd classmate of him said and show the book to everyone, “Wonder why yours is transparent…”

“Ah so I’m fire!” 

“Mine is just water?” 

“Yay! I got light!” 

“What?? Darkness?!” 

Many different chatter was sounded after they saw the book, some was happy and some was just fifty fifty.

With that, the teacher then allowed all the students to dismiss, since that aptitude test was the last test, so they all were now given a month midyear break from school. More than half of the student living in the dormitory choose to return to their parent homes, this is especially true for those who came from a far place.

Because the school yearly fees are high, each time the students are going home, Amy provided buses to send them to each area, so these students does not need to trouble their selves from the need to ride public transport. So with that they will not take too long of a time to arrive to their homes.

The rest that stayed either helped around by doing miscellaneous task to earn pocket money for their entertainment as there are also students that does not come from a rich family. Despite that, those task were usually one suitable and easy to do for them due to the good relationship between the place and the town people.

Nevertheless, the few that Riz’s classmate that are staying instead of going home dragged Riz to the cinema in the entertainment district to watch a movie that they have been waiting. Other than that they also planned to go play at the arcade, playing at the wet world which is a medium sized water theme park and so on.

Angela and Damian stayed with Amy today since they know that Riz is out playing with his classmate until night, though Angela pouted for being left behind like this. 

“Mou… Big brother is playing too much” Angela said with a huff, as she noms her food, the three of them are currently eating dinner with a television drama playing on the tv as they ate. Damian didn’t pay her any attention as he was quite absorbed in watching that drama.

Amy chuckled and shook her shoulder as she thought that Riz is growing well now, eventhough it was just only six month since they stayed here, he seemed to already be able to adapt here well, so him went playing with his classmate is something good. 

Why she thought so? It is because from what she read in a report of his behaviour before this, the report stated that Riz never went out of his house, only staying with Angela and Damian. Furthermore, he has a lot of friends, but has never socialize outside of school time.
