[Trouble] Chapter 1 - Why did he jump?!

“Father, why is it that me can’t go outside town?” a young boy with a dark blue hair and deep oceanic eyes look up to a man, whom was looking at the cherry blossom. 

His wife smile, and pats the boy calmly. “Rizzer, as of now, you are still young... but when you’ve grow up, you can go anywhere you want.” She land a soft kiss on the boy forehead.

“Yes… however, never should you forgot the place of your birth.” His father smile and lift Rizzer up, “This town is where our origin started, and this is also where it should end.”

“Father, what… is origin? What are we…?” He asked more while looking up at his father and mother, and tilt his head.

“Later will you know…” His mother smile.

When the midnight comes, continuous howling started, it has been long since the village quietness was full with the howling, and it has stopped after that tourist incident. For the villagers, this may be a sign that the great wolf has woken up from its slumber sleep. The ground was shaken by a small scale of earthquakes that comes from the mountains.

It was not big enough to give damage, so nothing was lost and no one was injured. Rizzer who was unable to sleep that night, stared at the window, hearing the howling, he feels something is changing inside of him, something has become uncontrollable. 

He feels as if he wanted to run wild, he looked up to the moon more, panting softly with both hands clenching, 'I.. Want...' he said while he pants heavily before everything in his vision went dark.

“Riz...” he heard someone called his name, this warm gentle voice, whose voice he wonder. 

“Honey… what should we do..? He looks pale…” The mother said w both eyebrow furrow together.

“We'll take him to the doctor…” The father hugs his wife firmly. As a father, he does not wish for something bad to happen to their own one and only son.

At the hospital, when the doctor checked on him, the doctor found that there was nothing wrong with him, and told them that Riz might just simply feel tired and just needed some more rest. Just as the doctor spoke to them, riz eyes flungs opens, he walked to the window fast, none of them realise.

However the mother instinct is very strong, making his mother turn to look at him, thus can see that he is by the window now, already climbed on it, “Riz..? Honey! He’s-?!” she gasped, “No!! Riz!”

She shouted as she run and try to grab Riz hand when he jumped off the window, luckily by a small chance, she manage to hold Riz hand, “R-Riz! Hold on!” she said desperately with teary eyes.

Her husband quickly come to help her, however the sweats dripping from her and Riz hand give it away and riz fall down from there, down from lvl 10 of the hospital, yet they froze when riz vanished right in front of their eyes. “Rizzz!!! Noooooo!!!!!” she shouted more with tears running down her cheek.

The darkness surrounds me, my body feel light, I wonder where am I? where.. is everyone else..? mother..? father...? what is this warmth that I feel.. like a butterfly fluttering in my tummy..?

“Valences De'or Time. You have finally arrived.” Said a voice, which sounds rather familiar to me. I can feel that I was being carried by someone strong arm. This strength also feel familiar, along with that, I can hear the fluttering of wings, really big wings. I wonder if there's any bird here in the dark? Or was it just my hearing playing a troll on me? 

Afterward I feel that I was being laid onto a soft surface, there's a strange yet sweet fragrance, all the while I feel like I’m being swung gently. “He sure is having a good sleep like always.” said another voice, though this time it was of a small girl voice.

“Valence. Its time for you to awaken from your slumber.” Said the same man, and I can feel my cheek being touched by something soft.

“No… wanna…” I reply, refusing, I used both my arm to cover my face, wanting more sleep.

“Well, its fine if we let him sleep more. But I bet, once he woke up… he’ll be making a lot of trouble, especially after he regain his staff.” The man said and the girl sighed.

‘Then Juniel, it will be our duty to capture and restrain him from doing so…” she sighed more, “Really, why can’t he behave more properly? Gosh…” Another sigh escape from her as I can hear the footsteps getting farther and farther, even their voices become faint and soon no longer be heard.

“What… is this pain? It... Hurt... Its burning me..! H-help!” I cringe in pain, gasping and panting, having a hard time to even breathe.

“Good… scream more. Heh... Hehehheh…” I heard an unfamiliar voice, sounding rather malicious and I as if can feel the aura of the person talking, it felt really dark and evil, something that should never be known.

“Don’t… worry… I’ll save.. you…!” A faint voice rings in my head, a girl voice that I yet again feel familiar, however it is not the same voice as earlier, since this one sounds more stronger, I felt as if she is someone very important to me, “I’m… co…ming…! W… ait… fo… r… me…!”. However it gets more unclear before fading away completely. 

 TZZZZTT!! A huge pain went through my whole body like I was being jolted by thunder, and then my consciousness drifted away.

Riz woke up later, the outside was dark with the moon is very huge, he can see some people flying in the sky, they have wings like birds, “What..?”

“Oh, you’ve woke up.” Riz turned around and saw a man with mask, he is tall and have a rather strong build body of muscles. Riz look at him with questioning face. “Firstly, do you remember who you are?” he asked as he sit on a chair next to the bed in on.

“Where is my… Father and mother?” Riz asked him, refusing to answer what he ask.

“Ah, well, you jump off from the level 10 of the hospital room.” He said and look at Riz, though Riz seems to be thinking for a while.

“So I die?” Riz look up at that man more, Riz expression looked somewhat sad, he wondered why did he go and jump off like that.

“Well, everyone you know there should consider you as dead now.” He said tonelessly, “you no longer belong to that world.”

“Why? Why did I even go to jump off?” he mumble and think, ‘I’m sure there was nothing that make me want to suicide…’ as he think, the more he was unable to comprehend or find the reason.

“It was your blood, being awoken, a beastly one.” He stand, “Those ear and tail is the proof of your father bloodline is taking over. You are no more a normal human.”

“Ear… and tail…?!” Riz blinks, shocked, as he then touched his own head. His hand can feel a pair of soft ear, moving a bit and it soon flop down, following what he is currently feel, “W-What is this?!” Riz face paled and he panicked a bit.

“I’ll go get a mirror for you” He said as he walk away, while Riz frozen on the spot. And upon seeing the mirror, he can clearly see the pair of ear on his head and a tail, both are the same colour of his current hair, an aquamarine colour of hair, followed by tail and ears.

.._..

“Uh, he is gone.” Shinai facepalm when she and Juniel return to check on Valence.

“Oh god, he is always awake when we weren’t around.” Juniel looks around, sweating and he can see traces of where valence go. “Never mind, we can still trace him now.”

And thus, both of them then rush as they follow the trace.
