[Trouble] Chapter 5 - Family lawyer Mr Jyu Niel

The housekeeper came to the hospital together in the ambulance, she bring along Riz, Angela and Damian. Inside the ambulance. She pats both Angela and Damian to comfort them, they hug the housekeeper and stay like that quietly.

Riz looked at his father face, he can see that Fuz is really pale, his face was deformed half and there were too many injuries because there are a lot of blood dripping down. “Father…” Riz called with a chocked voice, he leans a bit and held into Fuz hand firmly. Riz felt really afraid, he do not know what to do as all he felt is fear of losing his parents.

Then he turned to look at his mother, her condition is almost as bad at his father. There were a lot of the broken pieces of the windshield, stuck on her face and some at her body too. And his other hand held into Lyla hand, and he stayed like that until they arrive at the nearest hospital in that town.

The ambulance arrived at the hospital, the nurse rushed all five into the emergency room. The doctors who worked with Fuz today decided to take responsible in the operation because he had been helped by Fuz a lot of time.

Few hours passed~

As they are waiting outside, the housekeeper decided to go buy some food for their dinner as it was almost dinner time already. The nurse and the staff that passed by can only offer their condolence in their heart.

And after she return with the food, she feed the two children and urge Riz to eat some too, because from what Fuz and Lyla had told her before, Riz will become very weak if he skipped any of his meals. So she had to force him to eat it no matter what.

More hours passed and the operation are not finished yet, even Angela and Damian has fallen asleep on the waiting chair. Then 10 minutes later, the door opened and Fuz friend come out with a sigh. “Rizzer… isn’t it?” He asked after he walk to Riz.

Riz looked up to the doctor, “My father… and mother…? How?” He asked directly with his hand clamped together, trembling as he wait for the doctor reply.

“Rizzer…” The doctor came closer and pats on Riz shoulder with his eyebrow arched up, “They… could not make it.” He said the word slowly. However to Riz, the word sounds like a loud thunder, and his heart ached strongly as tears came down, drop by drop. “I’m sorry that I… couldn’t save them…”

The housekeeper could not but also feel sad, as she hugs Riz firmly, and offer words that may comfort him even if it were of no use. No words can be heard as Riz felt like the world in his eyes seems to lose its wonderful colour, because he was now alone.

“N-No… Why…?” Riz mumbled as he cried, and after a while he pass out. The housekeeper shook her head and she pack up to bring them home. The doctor offered to help her bring them back home as it is much more convenient by using his own car.

A week has passed since then, and Riz has been staying at home with Angela and Damian. The housekeeper still came because Riz parent has paid her salary for the month on the first week of the month, so she still have two weeks to work there. She know that they may not be able to survive alone, plus she felt that she need to fulfil her work because they has already payed her.

On Monday, the family lawyer, Mr Jyu Niel, came in order to read Fuz and Lyla’s will to Riz. Jyu Niel used to come visit this family when Riz was 2 years old, however Riz does not remember him as he was too young at that time. 

Jyu Niel smiled as he push on the door bell, he looked at himself to make sure that he is properly dressed, and corrected any crumbled part on his clothes, then adjust his tie a bit. After that he waited for the door to open.

The housekeeper went to the door when she heard the doorbell rang, because Jyu Niel had already informed her that he will be coming here today, only the time was not stated. She looked through the door hole to see who is it, and upon seeing the smiling Jyu Niel, she then opened the door, “Mr Niel, come in come in.” She said with smile as she open the way to let him enter.

“Ah, thank you.” Jyu Niel said politely, “Is Rizzer at home?” He asked after he enter, and take off his shoe and put at the side neatly.

“Yes he is, this whole week he’s been staying at home and refused to come out.” The housekeeper replied as she closed the door. She walked in front to lead him to the living room as they chatted about the current situation of this family.

At the living room, Jyu Niel sat on one of the sofa and put his suit case at the side. The housekeeper excused herself to make some drinks for him, so Jyu Niel looked around and can see a lot of new pictures that are hanged on the wall. Almost all the picture have Riz in it, and some of them are solo picture of Riz. Though the most pics are Riz with two little children.

“Ah, there is quite a bit of changes in here mn.” Jyu Niel commented as he walked around inside the living room slowly. Then as he turn around to go back to the sofa, he can see two little kids peeking from a flower vase, he blink twice when he saw them and he raise his eyebrow and then he gave a smile to them.

Angela looked up to this uncle with curious eyes, she is curious of who he is and looked around to see where the housekeeper is. While Damian return a small smile to that uncle, and waves his hand to him as he greet him, ‘Um h-hello…”

“Hello there.” Jyu Niel smiled more, “Want to come and sit with uncle?” He said as he pats the sofa next to him. He can see that Damian nods a bit as a yes, while Angela still stare at him. “Well, come here then.” He said calmly.

Damian walk to the sofa slowly and sit on it next to Jyu Niel. He then rummage his pocket and took out a few candies, “Uncle want some?”

“Sure. Then I’ll take this one,” Jyu Niel said and point to a mint flavoured candy, “is it okay?” He asked to confirm before he take it after Damian nods his head happily. And so the two of then ate the candy as they sometimes chat to each other. Angela puffed her cheek and go back to her room, while the housekeeper returned with a jug of ice cold 7up, and inside there is few leaves of mint and pieces of oranges.

“Oh Damian is here. “ The housekeeper said with smile, “Ah luckily I make this pie.” She said as she serve two glass for them and two plate of pie for them. Damian go on and ate happily, while Jyu Niel took a few sips of the drinks. “Well then, I’ll go call Riz here” She said and Jyu Niel nods.

Riz soon came with the housekeeper to the living room, and he sit on the sofa faced opposite Jyu Niel. Then he can see that Angela with a pout come and sit to Riz right. With that the housekeeper also served them two more pie and two glass of drinks. 

Riz take one of the glass and drink some of it slowly while looking down, though Angela cut some of her pie and planned to feed Riz. Riz pats her and ate that slowly. Jyu Niel watched him as he just quietly drink more.

After Riz ate more than half of the pie, Jyu Niel took his suit case as he spoke, “Rizzer, may I speak to you? It’s okay I’ll wait until you are done eating.” After that he waited for Riz to finish eating first. Though Riz never did say whether he agree to speak with Jyu Niel or not, after he finish eating, Riz put down his spoon and look up, and sit properly. 

“Rizzer, how have you been?” Jyu Niel ask, and Riz only look at him, it seems like he does not want to answer to what Jyu Niel asked. “Mn, well then, I’ll just cut it straight then.” He said with a sigh and then opened his suitcase in front of Riz to show him the content. “In here is your recently deceased father’s and your mother’s will.”

Riz nods a bit to show that he understood and want him to continue. “Before I read the will to you, there are two keys and a ring that I need to give to you. They were trusted to me by your father and your mother.” Jyu Niel said. 

He take out three small boxes from the suitcase, first box is decorated rather plainly, with the box material is only made with a plain old wood, with some simple carving as the decoration. Second box is a red box, embed with some gold lining and some unknown jewel. It also seems to be locked with a small lock. The last box is a black box, because it is the smallest box compared to the two other box, so it can be easily assumed that it must be the box containing the ring.

“Your father already wrote what the each of the items for, because it is something that only you are allowed to see.” Jyu Niel said and put all those boxes in front of Riz. “And in this document, is the things listed by your father that you will be inherit.” He said and put a brown envelop next to those boxes. “Just make sure to keep it properly, okay?” He said with a smile.

“I will…” Riz acknowledge and nods. And so then Jyu Niel then read the will written by Riz deceased father first, where it took a long time till he is done, and during that time the housekeeper already took Angela and Damian to play outside. Then next Jyu Niel then read Riz deceased mother’s will, even though the content are not as much as his father’s, but it is enough to make Riz look so sad.

[Trouble] Chapter 4 - Unexpected Accident

3 years passed by as they lived together, rizzer age is now 10 years old. Damian and Angela can now walk and even talking a few sentences, and they were so super clingy at Riz. Fuz and Lyla chuckle and smile because Riz looked very happy and really took care of them so much, and they look like a real siblings.

Angela and Damian are now 3 years old. When Fuz and Lyla went to work, the caretaker that they employed often had headaches. This is because Angela is very active, she thinks that everything around her are very interesting, so the caretaker cannot take off her eyes away from Angela. Meanwhile Damian are rather obedient, he is much easier to be taken care off. But since he always follow Angela around, he mostly become her partner in crime.

The caretaker has lost count of how many the employer vase, plate, glass and fragile decoration that the two of them has broken. Early on when the caretaker first worked, she always felt very scared to face the employer when it was time for her to retire for the day.

But now, she felt that when the two children does not damage more than five items, it would simply amount to nothing. The reason why she felt like that is because her employer had never blame her or penalize her for that, instead her employer simply asked her to wrote down a lift of things that they damaged.

One more thing is that, she would only be tired during the morning. Because when their big brother, Riz, returned home, the two children would instantly behave and clung to Riz. So for the whole evening, all she need to do is just prepare some snack for them.

Riz at school, at first Fuz was worried if Riz would be unable to get some friend because Fuz does not know where and how Riz has been before Riz returned. Fuz worried prove to be unnecessary because Riz can perfectly talk and communicate with the children around his age.

“Hey Riz, I heard that you didn’t go to kindergarten before this.” One of the boy asked while he is staring at Riz, while the other kids around them listen with curiosity.  

“Mhm,” Riz nods, “I got lost somewhere… so I wasn’t able to return to my home for a really really long time…”

“Eh… aren’t that scaryyyy? You be alone…?” They asked more. “Wu wu, If that happen to me, I’d cry so so much looking for my papa and mama.” Said one of the girl. 

Riz laughed a bit when he heard the girl, and he shook his head a bit, “I’m still fine now because I met a real weird uncle. He take care of me for a while and when I can recognize my hometown again, I quickly return home. The uncle didn’t stop me going home.” 

“Eh really?” They asked and Riz nods with smile. Of course he actually had no recollection of what happened to him during the years that he has gone missing, but he will not say that because he know they would be scared or might not want to be friends with him.

And so, his day at this school are fine, with everyone wanted to be friends with him because he is very easy to talk to, and he is also very good at his study. He would never reject anyone when they asked for his help.

There is a kid, he was seated next to Riz. He never talked to Riz, but he is always watching him because for him Riz is his rival. Before this this kid always got the first place in all his test, so when Riz got the first place during their midterm exam, that kid felt unsatisfied and started watching Riz, so that he can learn something from Riz to beat Riz’s score.

Though everyone in class can see that that kid are trying to compete with Riz, and some of them even go ask the kid, “Hey Joseph, why are you staring at Riz so sooo much?”

“I’m not staring!” Joseph said and cross his arm.

“But everyone saw that. You can’t deny that” They said and boo at Joseph, thinking that he is a coward when he does not want to admit to what he did. 

“It’s not like Riz gunna beat you… if you wanna be friend with him, just go talk to him.” Said another one.

Joseph gritted his teeth, “It’s not like I want to be friend with him! Humph!” After he said that, he ran away from them.

One day in autumn, Riz has just returned home, when he got a call from his parents that today they are going to come home a bit early. Riz smiled and when he enter the house, he told to the housekeeper that he wanted to have a mini picnic outside in front of their house.

The housekeeper nods, “Okay Riz, I’ll just go bring out your apple pie then.” 

“Thank you,” Riz thanked and then he go to take some mat and some other things to go prepare outside. Angela help Riz to bring some plastic plate and their napkin, while Damian bring their cup, fork and spoon. So they arrange all the stuffs together, and finally Riz go and bring out their umbrella to protect the two from the sun.

The housekeeper come out soon with a freshly made apple pie, some sandwich, and also come candies. “Here is it” she said with a smile, “oh right, I’ll also bring out your coat, since its autumn after all. It won’t be good for you three to be sick.”

“Oh! But Angela wanna go pick Angela’s favourite coat!” Angela said with sparkle, and upon seeing that sparkly eyes, the housekeeper sweats a bit as she know that Angela will for sure make a mess of her room is she come along.

“Um, Damian too…” Damian said while playing with his hands.

“Well then, big brother will go along too then.” Riz said and pats both Angela and Damian, since he know they might trouble the housekeeper. The housekeeper utter a sigh, she felt quite glad that Riz is coming along.

And so they went into the house together. Firstly they go to Angela room to pick her coat, she look around her closet and choose a fluffy pink coat that have sakura flower petals. Then they go to Damian room where Damian picked a black coat with starry pattern on it. Riz just pick any coat that he sees and then they went back outside to eat.

And so they play around as they sometimes come back and eat something. The housekeeper sat next to Riz as she watched them play. She was startled when Angela suddenly come and showed a small green snake to Riz. “A-Angela..! Snake is dangerous…!”

“Yea, Angela, put it back at where you pick it, okay?” Riz ruffled Angela hair and chuckle a bit. 

“Aw… But look! It’s so cute…” Angela said with a pout, sulking a bit since she thought that Riz might compliment her. “See! Look at its eyes!” She said while bringing the snake closer to Riz and the housekeeper.

“Well… calm down, you are going to choke the snake if you hold it tighter.” Riz said and points to her hand, “See how the snake is struggling.” Angela look at the snake more, and with another pout, she then go back to the small berries bushes and release the little snake.

The housekeeper wipe her sweats and then go see what Damian is doing. As she walk closer, she can see that Damian are taking the picture of the stuffs that he think look interesting. At the moment, he is taking a picture of a beetle that was just going to fly away.

And so as they were eating, not far from their front yard that they are having a picnic, they can see the car of their parents. Seems like they really are returning early today. Angela and Damian happily stood up and waved their small hands to them.

“Mommy! Daddy!” Angela called happily. Lyla who is sitting at the passenger seat smiled and waved back to them, when suddenly Fuz kick the break, and a loud crashing sound can be heard. 

“Ah? Wha…” Riz mumble and froze there, he clearly saw what happened, while the housekeeper screamed in shock. Angela and Damian stopped waving, they look at each other, and then ran toward the car.

The neighbour came out of their house when they heard the crash sound, some was really quick to call 911, and some even call the ambulance. The housekeeper hold onto both Angela and Damian hand when she noticed that they ran to the car.

The other neighbor went to the car and helped by taking out Fuz and Lyla out from the car. They also helped the other car, where there is a pair of husband and wife, and a young little girl. All that was involved in the car crash, the four adult was heavily injured since they all sat at the front seat. It is unknown if they can be saved or not. The little girl situation are a bit better off, as she got some injury on some of her body.
